Solaris 10 and 11 Systems May Panic in pollhead_delete() with the fix for BUG 15739258 Installed (Doc ID 1599552.1)

Symptoms

Note 1: If the system panics in pollhead_delete() and the Kernel revision is earlier than the following, please refer to Doc ID 1537672.1.
  • SPARC 5.10: 150400-01
  • x86/x64 5.10: 150401-01
  • Solaris 11.1: SRU 9

There are two primary symptoms; (1) panic or (2) hang/deadlock.

Should the issue described be encountered, the system will panic in pollhead_delete.  The panicing stack will look similar to the following:
