Symptoms

Solaris Cluster 3.x node SMF timeouts during boot:

Jan 21 14:00:18/4: svc:/system/sysevent:default: Method or service exit timed out.  Killing contract 28.

or

Jan 21 14:00:24/4: svc:/system/pools:default: Method or service exit timed out.  Killing contract 33.

and

Jan 21 14:01:48/257: system/sysevent:default failed: transitioned to maintenance (see 'svcs -xv' for details)
Jan 21 14:01:49/286 ERROR: svc:/system/cluster/cl_execd:default: Method "/usr/cluster/lib/svc/method/sc_cl_execd start" failed with exit status 1.
Jan 21 14:01:49/285 ERROR: svc:/system/cluster/sc_failfast:default: Method "/usr/cluster/lib/svc/method/sc_failfast start" failed with exit status 1.
