Goal

The SPARC T5-4 and SPARC T5-8 ILOM reports critical System Fan events on the ILOM system logs or Solaris system messages log

Example ( Solaris System Messages )

The  ILOM message  uses the naming convention of /SYS/RCSA/FBDx/FMx in reporting Fan related events.

On the rear of the SPARC T5-4 and T5-8 system a vertical label is present in the FAN slots with the format FBDx/FMx .  The vertical label is not explicitly mentioned in the  system documentation for T5-4 and T5-8 systems.
