STA: Special Characters in the Password Causes Installation to be Incomplete

Symptoms
When doing a standard install of STA_app_2-0-0-83 in console mode (./install -i console), no errors were reported by the installer but at the end of the installation the following is seen :
The /Oracle folder is partially populated at the end of installation. Middleware folder is missing as well as StorageTek_Tape_Analytics folder. The other folders are there.
