Smpatch and Updatemanager Fail Because Java 8 (64bit) Is Used From /usr/jdk/latest (Doc ID 1900243.1)

Symptoms

When you install jdk8 packages on a supported sol 10u11 it will update link
/usr/jdk/latest , which is correct, but this will break the smpatch tool
which fails with error:
