Internet Explorer Security Zones Are Not Set By Group Policy Objects (GPO) When Launched as a Standalone Application (Doc ID 1903701.1)

Symptoms

Users launching Internet Explorer as a standalone application via Oracle Secure Global Desktop (SGD), i.e not as part of a Full Desktop Application, will not have their Internet Explorer Security options set as intended via GPO. Instead, it is only after launching a Full Desktop that such GPO setting will take effect and remain persistent.

NOTE: These symptoms will be seen even when Internet Explorer is launched as a standalone application using Microsoft Terminal Services Client (mstsc) or using any MS-RDP client.
