Symptoms

During the activation of a new HA-NFS Solaris Cluster resource, the nfsd daemon had been shut down for 10 minutes causing the outage of the other resources SUNW.nfs running on this node.

Changes

A new NFS resource is created :

By default the START_TIMEOUT and STOP_TIMEOUT properties values are set to 5 minutes (300 seconds) so if there are some other SUNW.nfs resources running on the same node when nfsd daemon is stopped by the NFS methods these resources were unavailable for 10 minutes causing a production outage.
