Symptoms

The following message is displayed in /var/adm/messages when tape is first used:

Mar 25 15:00:12 localhost scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /pci@78,0/pci8086,3c08@3/pci10df,fc42@0/fp@0,0/tape@w5001ffffffffffff,0 (st4):
Mar 25 15:00:12 localhost Cannot alloc contig buf for I/O for 2097152 blk size

This may occur for sizes other than 2097152 (typically larger) depending on the HBA hardware.
