Oracle Secure Global Desktop 5.1 Window Freezes On The Windows Logon Screen When Reconnecting Over Connection With Moderately High Latency (Doc ID 1941825.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When reconnecting to a Secure Global Desktop (SGD) Windows application session e.g Full screen Windows desktop, occasionally, the SGD application window freezes at the Windows Server logon screen. After awhile, the application window shows the Desktop again. The application session though is actually active on the Windows Terminal Server it was launched on. In fact, any keys presses while the application session is frozen and has focus are recieved by the application session. e.g., if Notepad was started before the session was reconnected, any keys pressed will show up in the Notepad session when the application session unfreezes.

NOTE: This is only seen when the connection between the SGD server and Windows application server has moderately high latency (typically greater than 65ms)
