FS System: How to Disable Call-Home to Prevent Automatic Service Request (ASR) Generation in the FS1-2 System (Doc ID 1942676.1)

Last updated on JUNE 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle FS1-2 Flash Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

For the FS1-2, the Automatic Service Request (ASR) capability is based on the Call-Home function to transport the periodic or event-generated logs, which then generate the Service Request in My Oracle Support (MOS).  When performing maintenance or upgrades to the FS1-2, an administrator account should temporarily disable the Call-Home function to prevent the event-generated logs from creating additional MOS Service Requests. Disabling Call-Home at the FS1-2 System Manager GUI is a faster alternative to disabling ASR generation in MOS.
