Installing PTFs L1H185S or L1H185T Causes Problems for TCP/IP Communication from the SMC Client and With the VLE (Doc ID 1945221.1)

This problem affects SMC Client TCP/IP communication as well as VLE TCP/IP communication.

Symptoms

SMC client can't communicate with the TAPEPLEX after installing current maintenance.

Communications sometimes initializes and a short time later, SMC0261 is issued to indicate there are no communication paths to the TAPEPLEX:

Changes

Installed current maintenance, including L1H185S for ELS 7.1 or L1H185T for ELS 7.2.
