Solaris Volume Manager Iostat -nx Reports 100% For "busy" %b on Metadevices after Installing Solaris 10 SVM Patch 150311-05 or 148076-14 (Doc ID 2003027.1)

Symptoms


After upgrading to Solaris 10 1/13, which included patch 150311-05  "iostat -nx" command reports 100% for %b

After finishing the update, the load on the metadevices built on local disks  is reported to be 100% busy, see the output from iostat -nx:

 

Changes

The system was upgraded to Solaris 10 1/13 or later, which included patch 150311-05 or later (on Sparc) or patch 148076-14 or later (on x86)
