Solaris Volume Manager (SVM) newfs on Meta Device Fails with "newfs: /dev/md/rdsk/dxx last mounted as <mount_point>" (Doc ID 2005595.1)

On a server/system with SVM (Solaris Volume Manager) the wrong metadevice  is identified when trying to 'newfs' a newly created soft partition:

# metainit d31 -p d100 100g
d31: Soft Partition is setup
# metastat -cp | more
