X4-4 Panics During Boot Following an Update to Solaris 11 Update 2 SRU 8.4 or Later (Doc ID 2012225.1)

Symptoms

This issue has been seen to occur with either of the panic signatures below on X4-4 systems upgraded to Solaris 11.2 SRU 8.4 or later.  There are no errors during the SRU upgrade itself and the system still boots correctly from any older SRUs.  A fresh install of these newer SRUs also exhibits the panic during boot.

The panic can also be observed with a fresh installation of Solaris 11.3 GA. The install will complete without error. System may panic after booting up from the installation.
