Exalytics: After Release 2.0.0.0 Upgrade on Bare Metal PS5 Server "exalytics_imageinfo" Command Shows Non-Matching Kernel Versions under "kernel" and "RPM" (Doc ID 2046791.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 28, 2022

Applies to:

Exalytics In-Memory Machine X2-4 - Version All Versions and later
Oracle Exalytics Software - Version 1.0.0.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After applying Exalytics Release 2.0.0.0 on an existing bare metal PatchSet (PS) 5 machine, the exalytics_imageinfo command does not show the same kernel version in all locations.
Specifically:

Kernel version shows as 2.6.39-400.248.3.el5uek but the 'kernel' listed under the RPM versions shows kernel-2.6.32-100.23.1.el5.

Does this indicate that the patch did not install successfully or is it only partially installed?
