Repeated Alerts Periodicity and Available Configuration Adjustment (Doc ID 2072650.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Session Monitor - Version 3.3.x and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The goal of this KM article is to explain how often the same alerts occur and possible configuration adjustments for it. This information is part of the documentation, however the aim of this article is to summarize all at one place and use a sample customer scenario to explain it.

A sample case:

I was trying to define Alerts in OCOM, for example I added an Alert definition with the below parameters :

Alert Type : Device / tag Metrics
Metric : Active sessions ( Traversing )
Comparison : Greater than>
Metric Threshold : 1
use value : minimum
Time resolution : minutes values
Minimum active calls : 1

The SBC had more than 50 current calls and the OCOM keeps sending me an alert almost every hour with a minute value. I would expect the new alert every minute if the conditions are met.
