zpool status output reports incorrect devices for vdevs (Doc ID 2093904.1)

Solaris Operating System - Version 10 to 11.2 [Release 10.0 to 11.0]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86 (32-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)


If the described issue occurs, the zpool status output will show incorrect devices for vdevs. If the zpool is an rpool, the system may become unbootable.

Here is a sample output showing the problem:



The issue can result from a device path change. zpool status output may continue to show the old pathname for the vdev.
