System panic with NULL pointer dereference in fop_getattr() using Veritas ODM (Doc ID 2147986.1)

Symptoms

The system will panic with BAD TRAP: type=31 in module "genunix" due to a NULL pointer dereference.

The panic message and stack trace look like this:
