If running with the Distributed I/O feature configured, it's possible to encounter an issue where the tape label and data on the tape cannot be read or retrieved.

The tapes are flagged in the tape catalog having media errors, which typically can be caused by either hardware errors or media defects.

However, these specific log trace entries may be indicative of encountering this particular issue:
