How to Recreate Data Partition in Case of Corruption (Doc ID 2166574.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Session Monitor - Version 3.3.x and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Restore a data partition after corruption, without OCSM re-installation. The following procedure applies to systems with two hard disk partitions, where one is used for OS and running processes, while the other - usually larger in size - used for historical data storage (PLD_DATA or /var/vsi). Procedure will work in case of corruption in the PLD_DATA partition only. Any corruption in the OS partition would require a clean installation from scratch.

Note: Only continue if you know what you are doing! If you require assistance from Oracle to carry out this procedure, you will be advised to contact Professional Services.
