LDAP Authentication is failing with an error " No response from SGD server" (Doc ID 2186719.1)

This is to explain one scenario where Secure Global Desktop (SGD) LDAP Authentication suddenly start to fail and users are seeing an error: No response from SGD server.

Further investigations shows also connect timed out messages on directoryserver logs:

Rebooting the SGD server, restarting SGD services or re-entering the (same) User/Password details to the SGD Authentication Wizard on step "LDAP Repository Details" (per the URL below) will resolve the problem but the issue may happen again after a while.
