Symptoms
MEDIA ERRORS found when checking the catalog resulted in a tape drive being replaced.
Once replaced, the customer noticed that the tape drive type became 'tp' instead of 'ti' as their other similar tape drives were.
Changes
Recently upgraded samfs version and were seeing MEDIA ERRORs. Then replaced a suspected bad tape drive.
After replacing, noticed the tape drive type was NOT the same as the other tape drives.
The replaced drive type became 'tp' instead of 'ti'.
