FS System : Mappings for LUNs are Deleted After FS Path Manager (FSPM) Installation (Doc ID 2338312.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 26, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle FS1-2 Flash Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a fresh installation of FS Path Manager (FSPM), the host lost access to the LUNs. The Oracle FS System Manager GUI shows "no mappings" for the LUNs that had been previously mapped to that host.

This issue can also occur if FSPM was installed on a host that did not have network connectivity to the FS1 pilot or network port 26012 is blocked by a firewall.  FSPM will install without any problems, but once the host gains network connectivity or network port 26012 is unblocked, it will proceed with deleting any manually created host groups for the host and create a new one.

Changes

 Fresh Installation of FSPM.
