Is it possible to upgrade Exalytics with Oracle Virtual Server (OVS) 3.2.9 on OEL5? (Doc ID 2366350.1)

Goal

Currently have an exalytics 2.0 (virtualized) installation . Now want to upgrade the OVM manager / server.
Is it is allowed to upgrade just the OVM layer (manager + server) or is it needed to upgrade the entire Exalytics setup (most recent version is 2.1 with OVM 3.3.3)?
