Symptoms

LUN paths not enumerating under Solaris Multipathing (MPxIO/scsi_vhci) due to failover contradiction, typically 'f_tpgs' .vs. 'f_tpgs' or 'f_tpgs' .vs. 'NULL'.

Changes

Some fault on the storage device resulted in the reporting of different SCSI failover characteristics on various paths to the same logical unit.

For example, there is a known issue with upgrading between certain versions of IBM SVC code levels. Contact IBM support in reference to IBM APAR number HU02176 for more information and to determine if this issue is applicable prior to updating the code level on IBM SVC storage arrays.
