We have a customer planning to procure LTO8 drives for SL8500 and the requirement is to have dual port connectivity on each drive. We have a conversion kit(7104424 - StorageTek LTO5, LTO6, and LTO7 dual port conversion kit for StorageTek SL8500, StorageTek SL3000, and StorageTek SL4000) available for all previous generation Drives up to LTO7 which enables the activation of second port on the tape drive. We couldn’t find similar conversion kit for LTO8 Drives.
