Question regarding compression and encrypted VTVs (Doc ID 2514692.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Activated the encryption function on z/OS using the DATACLASS DFSMS.

Data is being encrypted at the system level prior to being written to the VTV by the VSM.

Goal

Question is why is there no compression being done on encrypted data being written to VTVs?
