Last updated on FEBRUARY 10, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 4.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Users may find that some Japanese specific keys do not work as expected in the Windows applications launched by Secure Global Desktop (SGD).

- When pressing [half/full width] key to try to change to input Japanese full width characters, it does not work but [`] is input.
- When pressing [@] key on the keyboard, "[" is input.
- The other Japanese specific keys on the 106 keyboard also do not work. It seems the 106 keyboard is taken as English keyboard.

The client is using 106 keyboard and the default input language is not [MicroSoft IME] but [Microsoft Office IME 2010] ,「Google IME」 or [ATOK].
