Last updated on JUNE 17, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The SGD Administrator reports that a recent attempt to configure a legacy SGD Server into a "Single Host Gateway (SHGW) Deployment" did not work as expected.

Additional details on the Single Host Gateway Deployment configuration can be found within Section 2.2.1 of the SGD Deployment Guide, published in the standard document library at:  https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E88357_01/E88365/html/deploy-single-host-gw.html

In this scenario, the installation of the SGD Gateway package and execution of the automated tarantella discover gateway utilities all appeared to work as expected, but users were unable to successfully connect to the server after update, with error message:

This server was working as expected using the Firewall Forwarding feature prior to this configuration, but was no longer usable after this update.
