Last updated on MAY 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 8.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The SOAM GUI slows down to where some screens don't resolve or are impossibly slow, impairing ability to manage DSR via the GUI.

Alarms MAY [but not always!] include:
   31002 - Process watchdog failure
   31003 - Thread watchdog failure
Often these are against apwSoapServer or DSROAM_Proc

Processes, as viewed on command line via 'pl' or 'pm.getprocs' MAY [but not always] show dsroam,
apwSoapServer, or other process restart frequently (as denoted by asterisk '*' and/or date).

Abterms for these processes MAY [but not always] appear in /var/TKLC/rundb/run/proc/<procName>
directories as seen on the server or in savelogs_plat captures.

In ALL cases, SessionLog.0 entries on the SOAM are excessive (many tens- or hundreds- of thousands).  Example:
