Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Filesystem complains that a samfsck is needed with the following message:

WARNING: Oracle HSM:
samfs1: inode 3879255.1 fsck requested: sam_get_acl_ext_cnts: EXT_HDR

Attempting to copy or remove the affected file(s) results in the following errors.

root@hostname:/samfs1/share/groups/archive# cp -r "09(Sep)" /var/tmp/
09(Sep): failed to get acl entries: No CSI structure available

root@hostname:/samfs1/share/groups/archive# rm -r "09(Sep)"
rm: 09(Sep)/2013-09-17_5 AZN 790-13.pdf not removed: No CSI structure available
rm: 09(Sep)/2013-09-17_1 AZN 410-13.pdf not removed: No CSI structure available

Repeated attempts at using samfsck -F option does not correct the issue. Samfsck does not even detect the problem.

Changes

The customer had corruption issues addressed in a previous BUG. After the fix, another problem surfaced resulting in the latest BUG (21943065).
