VSTP Maintenance Option Not Available

Symptoms
On DSR 8.4.0.5.0-88.5.0 and 8.4.0.5.0-88.9.1
the links (as well as connections) cannot be disabled/enabled under the menu: Main Menu: VSTP -> Maintenance -> Link Status
Same is happening for connection status.
All the values are shown as "null" instead of "enabled" or "disabled"
Tried to check status of a connection named vstp2 via MMI and can see its status as enabled or disabled. See below:
