(Doc ID 2707010.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Session Monitor - Version 4.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Per the "SNMP Traps" section at:
https://docs.oracle.com/communications/E99929_01/doc.41/e99935/omg_settings.htm#SMOMG524
It states:
If you are enabling SNMP traps for v3, enter the username and engine ID for traps. The supported engine ID is, noAuthNoPriv.
but after enabling SNMP traps in Session Monitor, and using SNMP v3, reviewing the SNMP traffic shows that there are values in: snmp.msgAuthenticationParameters and snmp.msgPrivacyParameters. This is not expected with noAuthNoPriv.
