Diameter Signaling Router (DSR): New Connection To Peer Fails To Come Up-Resets/Aborts After CER/CEA (Doc ID 2783339.1)

Symptoms

Attempting to bring up a new Diameter connection to a remote peer
Connection fails to establish.
Protocol trace shows
 - Transport handshake successful [TCP- SYN/SYN_ACK/ACK or SCTP- INIT/INIT_ACK/COOKIE_ECHO/COOKIE_ACK]
 - SCTP ABORT or TCP RESET seen immediately after either CER or CEA is received from peer node.

In the Alarm & Event History spanning connection establishment, can see INFO event 8000 EvFsmException against the [instance] connection name.  GN_INFO/INF will indicate 'Peer failed capabilities exchange' and provide the connection ID# as well as reason text.

 

Changes
