Symptoms
User cannot successfully launch the gnome-desktop application onto an SGD client.
When first encountering the issue the customer said it would go into a locked screen, saying authentication failure and it would not allow them to type in a password.
Now they consistently get a black screen when attempting to launch the gnome-desktop application onto an SGD client.
