Symptoms

The DSR patch 33204275 cannot be installed successfully on the SOAM; this patch is included under My Oracle Support (MOS) patch 33272996.

Changes

System is being patched:

1) The DSR patch 33204275 (MOS patch 33272996) fixes the following problems that affect DSR functionality on DSR 8.5.0.0.0-90.11.0 system:

    1. Bug 33184829 - Issues in Local Signaling Point, Remote Signaling Point and Network Appearances due to group code
    2. Bug 33207557 - vSTP adding extra bytes to outgoing message causing message length to exceed 272 bytes


2) The DSR patch 32751070 (MOS patch 32781364) fixes the following problems that affect DSR functionality on DSR 8.5.0.0.0-90.11.0 system:

    1. BUG 32661123 - vSTP setting spare bit value 0x03 by default in SLTM/SLTA message for ITU-I domain which cause link failure
