Goal

The Solaris Fibre Channel Protocol (fcp) driver kernel trace circular event buffer is critical for troubleshooting Fibre Channel device discovery as well as LUN offline and online events. By default, 1MB is allocated to the buffer. For configurations where more than a moderate number of Fibre Channel devices (20) and/or paths (4) are provisioned, it is recommended the size of the buffer is increased to prevent critical events from being over written by wrapping of the circular event buffer.
