Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Alarming Inconsistency - different Object Identificatio (OID) strings
(Doc ID 2853712.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 20, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 8.5.0 and laterTekelec
Goal
During alarm testing / validation, it’s come to customer attention the OID string is coming across with 205.118.219 appended to it. The customer alarming support engineer compared the current Management Information Base (MIB) with the new one for Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) v8.5 and confirmed there are no changes. However, as you will see from the attached PCAP the value mentioned above is appended.
Why are the OIDs coming across different in this case?
