Symptoms

Application crashes with a thread stack which ends with _stack_grow or libc.so.1'_stack_grow

Changes

The "Oracle Developer Studio"  version 2.5  change a default compiler option from previous versions, to enable stack checking on sparc.

This change was brought into Solaris 11.4.30.88.3 with an update which updated the build process for userland applications to user Studio 2.6. (previous they used 2.4) This change has since been tagged as a regression and a fix is being worked under (possibly unpublished) Bug: 33835664 ( due to the extent of the changes there will not be any idrs )
