Log4j is configured for Zookeeper on ODA using a file called /opt/zookeeper/conf/log4j.properties, where ConsoleAppender and RollingFileAppender are only currently used. Log4j also supports few other appenders such as SocketAppender, SMTPAppender, JMSSlink, JDBSAppender, Chainsaw. To use any supported appenders, Log4j.properties file must be modified to include that appender, and Zookeeper must be restarted which requires root access to the system.
Symptoms
CVE-2019-17571 etc... cause security concern.
