SGD: Fails To Launch For RHEL 8 Servers (Doc ID 2905105.1)

Symptoms

Customer reports that they have historically had issues getting RHEL 8 servers to consistently display using SGD. When it fails, a session window just never pops up.

Their other systems (Solaris x86 11.3, Solaris SPARC 10, and Windows) work fine in SGD. At one time they couldn't get the Solaris 11.3 systems to display using the new RHEL 7 SGD server, but through trial and error, they found it was environment variables set in the user's home directory.
