Symptoms

Oracle ZFS Storage in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Deployment Tool Fails. Examine the terraform log to see why it failed.

To see the terraform log, do the following:

  1. On the OCI console go to Developer Services > Stacks
  2. Select the stack that failed to install
  3. Under Jobs, select the job name
  4. Examine the log or select Download Logs to download the log to your local system.

Error received is:

Error: 400-InvalidParameter, Invalid VNIC parameters: (400, InvalidParameter, false) Cannot create a VNIC with hostnameLabel. Subnet ocid1.<OCID> does not have DNS enabled (opc-request-id: dummyRequestId)
