HSM: Appears to be Mounting Tapes in Multiple Drives (Doc ID 2957765.1)

Symptoms

The customer reported that their direct-attached SL3000 tape library is trying to mount the same tape in two different drives.

They provided an image of 'samcmd s' output that showed that it was "mounting" the same VSN ID in two different drives.

I could see in the device logs (/var/opt/SUNWsamfs/devlog/[eq id]) for all their 6 different drives showing trace entries like the following, telling us that the volume was not found in it's slot:
