Bug 35491190 After Upgrading ZFS Storage Appliance to 8.8.57 or 8.8.58, Oracle Enterprise Manager May Generate Many Alerts Connecting to the ZFSSA Target (Doc ID 2977451.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle ZFS Storage ZS4-4 - Version All Versions and later
Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance Racked System ZS4-4 - Version All Versions and later

Sun ZFS Storage 7320 - Version All Versions and later

7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks)
All ZFS Storage Appliance Products, Exceptions Noted Below.

Symptoms

After upgrading to OS8.8.57 or 8.8.58, intermittent REST timeouts cause many Oracle Enterprise Manager(OEM) alerts to be generated.

The Browser User Interface(BUI) and Command Line Interface(CLI) on the ZFS Storage Array(ZFSSA) may hang or run slowly.

The Enterprise Manager agent log file may have many messages similar to:

2023-09-27 04:39:42,900 INFO - Target [oracle_si_zfssa_storage_server_websvc.<ZFSSA_NAME>] is marked as in DOWN state

Testing with curl will intermittently work ok, take a long time, or time out:
