Symptoms

The Appliance Browser User Interface (BUI) Maintenance->System tab shows that there is one firmware update remaining. However, when clicking on the alert icon, the subsequent dialog box shows no pending, failed, or in progress updates. In addition, the Appliance Command Line Interface (CLI) “maintenance system updates firmware show” shows no pending, failed, or in progress updates. In this case, the CLI is correct and there are no pending firmware updates. The alert in the BUI can be disregarded.  If this issue has occurred, there is no impact on actual disk firmware upgrades and no impact on any other BUI or CLI functionality.

Please note: The above is a summary of the symptoms and actual symptoms can vary. Matching any symptoms here does not confirm that you are encountering this exact issue. For additional questions regarding this issue, please contact Oracle Support.
