Issue impacting customers who installed Solaris 11.4.73.2 and use non-global zones - resolved (Doc ID 3049596.1)

Purpose

Oracle Solaris 11.4.73.176.2, originally released 17 September 2024, contained an issue whereby following the update it was not possible to add or update packages in Solaris branded non-global zones. It was quickly withdrawn the same day from the external repository.

Oracle Solaris 11.4.73.176.3 was released 24th September 2024 to rectify the issue.

Scope

Customer who may have upgraded to Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU 73.2 before it was withdrawn who host Solaris 11.4 branded non-global zones.

Customers who upgraded to Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU 73.2 but do not host Solaris branded non-global zones are not impacted.
