How Your Help Desk Can Get the Most from Fusion Diagnostic Messages

Symptoms
When your users encounter system and application errors, Oracle Fusion provides assistance through diagnostic error messages. These diagnostic error messages are designed to help both the end user as well as the user's help desk to better resolve the issue.
Diagnostic error messages are aimed at both the end user as well as the help desk audiences. For example, when a system or application error occurs, an error message should appear that explains to the end user that an error occurred and then directs the end user to contact your help desk for further assistance. The end user error message should not provide technical information about the cause or how to resolve the issue because any technical background would be more appropriate to the user's help desk.
In addition to the end user message, the user's help desk can see a more technical error message for that use case with information about the technical cause and possible resolution to the issue.
For example, for the same error situation, the end user would see an error messages such as this:
The locale objects could not be updated. Contact your help desk. (GL-5295235)
In addition to the error message that is displayed to the end user, the help desk would see a more detailed, technical message such as this with technical cause and action information:
Admin Details: This error occurs if the repository object ceases to exist on the target instance during the import step of the export or import process. This error cannot be caused by any user action.
Admin Action: Restart the import step of the export or import process. If the error persists, contact Oracle Support for assistance.
